Here’s a rundown of some of the best golf courses in Bangkok:

Alpine CourseThe Alpine Golf & Sports Club

A championship standard golf course, designed by the experienced architect Ron M. Garl, the Alpine course is built around a series of man-made hills and lakes, hand-picked tress, and natural obstacles. The result is a challenging course which has already hosted a number of international competitions, such as the Johnnie Walker Classic.

Lam Luk Ka CourseLam Luk Ka Country Club

A short drive just outside of Bangkok city is the Lam Luk Ka, two pro-standard 18-hole wetland courses which cut through some deep wooded areas and a series of testing waterways. Not only are the courses home to a wealth ofinteresting bird and wildlife species, but impressive facilities include a pool overlooking the 10th hole and a fancy clubhouse restaurant overlooking the 18th.

Thai Country Club CourseThai Country Club

Perhaps one of the most popular courses in Thailand, the Thai Country Club course was design by popular course architect Denis Griffiths and built to the highest PGA standards. This multi-award winning course includes lots of tough water and sand hazards to test you aim and patience, and has already hosted some of the greatest players in the history of the game, staging professional events such as the Asian Honda Classic.

Subhapruek CourseSubhapruek Country Club

One of the most demanding courses of Bangkok, the Subhapruek Country Club courses is as challenging as it is picturesque. Perhaps not the ideal course for a beginner, each holes is designed around a combination of steep bunkers, thick woodlands, stunning waterfalls and brooks, with few straight holes to play. The course’s top notch facilities include a gourmet restaurant and luxurious clubhouse.

Navatanee CourseNavatanee Golf Course

Built by the legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., to host the 23rd World Cup of Golf in 1975, the Navatanee is another tough testing course, built around a philosophy to leave even the most skilled professional challenged. Once a large area of paddy fields, the Navatanee is today one of the prize courses of Asia, and includes famous holes such as the monster par 4, 445 yard 6th which is said to be one of the best holes on the continent.
