The Eugenia Hotel

eugeniaIf you’re looking for a hotel in Bangkok with some genuine panache, then the Eugenia might just be for you. It’s definitely not the biggest hotel in size, but it can surely rival any other for the size of its personality and uniqueness. With so many quirky and interesting rooms and lounges to marvel over, you could almost spend a day just explore the hotel, studying the stunning decor and admiring the vast collection of precious antiques.

As soon as you enter you’ll find yourself starring up at a trio of stag heads hanging above the reception desk, and the sense of glorious eccentricity continues into the library where you’ll find the stuffed peacock. The unusual and wonderful decor carries on throughout all the halls and rooms of the hotel, though with a real homely vibe rather than that of a hotel.

As you can expect no two rooms are even close to being the same. There are 12 rooms in total, spread over the two floors, each uniquely furnished with lots of one-of-a-kind items;  you’ll even find each room to have a unique type and period of floorboard. This is vintage at its best, so expect to find four-poster beds, period writing tables and classic bathroom fittings complementing the copper and aluminium wall mounted bathtubs.

Despite being kitted out in such attractive classic decor, you’ll still find lots of mod cons, such as a mini bar, large TVs, and WIFI throughout. The bedding is also f the highest quality so you should have no problem getting some serious Zs.
