The Sofitel So Bangkok has not just gained a reputation for its slick, modern rooms, stunning city views, and state-of-the-art facilities, but it is also known to have one of Bangkok’s most impressive spas, the Sofitel So Spa. Open to guests and non-guests alike, you’ll find the Sofitel So Spa covering the whole of the 11th floor of this plush Sathorn Hotel.

Inspired by the mythological Himmapan Forest, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported into a Thai fairy tale land when you exit the lift into the spa. With rustic wood and metal furnishings, images of weeping tries and golden birds spread across the walls, and peaceful ponds surrounded by soil and earth, concept has been design around the five elements: Water, Earth, Wood, Metal, and Fire.

The floor-to-ceiling windows of the reception instantly grab your attention, offering stunning views of the lush Lumpini Park. In total there are seven beautiful designed treatment room, and a private massage suite with a huge bed and private shower, which looks more like a luxury hotel room, ideal for putting you into pampering mood. Additional facilities include access to an infinity edge pool, with breath-taking park and city view, and an underwater music system.

There are no shortage of treatments available, ranging from 30 minute invigorating massages and scrubs (don’t miss the Thai style Papaya scub!), to half day packages including skin therapies, herbal treatments, whole body massages, and hamman style Turkish baths.

Don’t miss the Sacred Fruit Soother, a 90-minute skin therapy where you’ll be scrubbed down with red jasmine rice and moisturized with pure coconut oil, or the Balinese massage, an exotic mix of soft Swedish style strokes and hard Thai style stretches.

The Sofitel So Spa therapists uses two products ranges during the treatments. Cinq Mondes, a French product inspired by traditional ingredients from around the world, and Ytsara, a Thai product which uses natural herbs and plants from Northern Thailand.

If/When you fall in love with the Sofitel So Spa, there is also the option of booking one of the three So Suite Spas. These luxury jungle-themed rooms are based within the spa and have access to the pool and their own en-suite massage rooms.

The Sofitel So Spa is located at the Sofitel So Hotel, on the corner of Sathorn Road and Rama IV Road. Directly opposite Lumpini Park, close to the Lumpini MRT station and a short walk to Sala Daeng BTS station.
